Technical Program Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to bring structure, predictability, and most importantly clarity to our product and engineering delivery efforts. This role reports to the COO and works in close partnership with the Director of Engineering and Director of Product as a shared execution resource.
The TPM serves as the central coordination, communication, and execution lead for cross-functional initiatives involving external partners, internal product programs, and operational readiness. This role is hands-on, detail-oriented, and strongly focused on delivery excellence, ensuring initiatives ship with quality, on schedule, and in compliance, while maintaining shared understanding across teams, leadership, and external partners.
Responsibilities
Program & Delivery Management
- Organize and run execution for external integrations, partner onboarding initiatives, and internal cross-team initiatives
- Own end-to-end project plans, including scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and assumptions
- Coordinate dependencies across engineering, product, operations, compliance, legal, and external partners
- Identify delivery, operational, or compliance risks early and proactively propose mitigation strategies, clearly articulating tradeoffs and impacts
Cross-Functional Alignment & Communication
- Act as the primary source of truth for program status, decisions, and next steps
- Keep engineering and product leaders aligned through clear, consistent, and timely communication
- Translate between technical, product, and business contexts to ensure shared understanding
- Act as a neutral facilitator across teams to resolve ambiguity, align on decisions, and unblock progress
- Partner closely with the technical integration owner to ensure technical discovery, delivery sequencing, and readiness are aligned
Partner Operations, Compliance & Readiness
- Partner with Compliance, Legal, and Operations to support:
- Merchant onboarding and KYB processes
- Customer KYC and KYT readiness
- Geographic and currency expansion initiatives
- Coordinate partner requirements related to compliance, regulatory obligations, and contractual commitments
- Support partner invoicing workflows, operational readiness, and ongoing partner lifecycle management
- Ensure operational, legal, and compliance requirements are clearly documented, tracked, and reflected in delivery plans
External & Stakeholder Communication
- Lead structured, professional communication with external vendors, partners, and clients
- Clearly document agreements, decisions, operational requirements, and changes in scope or timelines
- Prepare and distribute concise meeting summaries with clear action items, owners, and deadlines
- Ensure external stakeholders receive consistent messaging and know what to expect and when
Execution Transparency & Reporting
- Track project metrics and delivery health across initiatives
- Prepare concise, high-signal weekly status updates for leadership and stakeholders
- Surface deviations from plan early, clearly communicating risks, options, and recommended actions
- Maintain continuity of context so teams are not revisiting or re-litigating prior decisions
Documentation & Process
- Own and organize program and partner documentation in Confluence and related tools
- Create and maintain clear written artifacts (plans, timelines, decision logs, summaries) that reduce ambiguity
- Drive execution discipline through clarity and alignment, not unnecessary process or bureaucracy
Leadership Support
- Support the COO, Director of Engineering, and Director of Product with planning materials, drafts, and follow-ups
- Prepare delivery and partner-readiness updates for broader company awareness and go-to-market readiness as needed
- Help ensure teams understand how delivery milestones connect to broader business objectives, GTM plans, and regulatory readiness
Qualifications
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex technical and business information into clear, actionable guidance
- Proven experience leading technical programs, partner integrations, or cross-functional initiatives in close partnership with engineering and product teams
- Experience managing external vendors, partners or client-facing deliveries, with clear ownership of commitments and communication
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a structured, detail-oriented approach to planning and execution
- Solid understanding of software delivery lifecycles and the ability to work from technical documentation and API specifications
- Ability to operate independently, proactively surface risks, and drive issues to resolution
Nice to Have
- Experience in fintech or crypto (plus, but not required)
- Background that includes hands-on exposure to technical delivery roles (e.g., project management, QA, business analysis, engineering, or technical support)
- Experience with partner onboarding and operational compliance processes, such as KYB, KYC, KYT, and geographic or currency expansion, preferably within crypto, digital assets, or regulated financial services
- Familiarity with applying AI tools and automation to enhance program execution, communication clarity, and operational efficiency
- Familiarity with modern delivery and collaboration tools, including Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms
What Success Looks Like
- Teams and leaders always have a clear, shared understanding of project status, risks, and next steps
- Engineering and product leaders spend less time coordinating and more time focused on strategy and execution
- Business and GTM goals are clearly understood and communicated across functions
- External partners receive consistent, clear, and reliable communication
- No loss of context, minimal rework, and fewer repeated clarifications
- Delivery timelines are predictable, with risks surfaced early and managed proactively
