Cyclops EEC Services GmbH is our wholly owned Austrian entity, established to, after successful licensing, serve European markets and currently pursuing MiCAR and PSD2 licenses with the Austrian FMA (Finanzmarktaufsicht).
Role Overview
We are building a lean, high-caliber global finance and accounting team and are looking for a sharp, motivated Finance & Accounting Associate who wants real responsibility, meaningful work, and direct exposure to some of the most dynamic areas of finance and innovation.
This is a hands-on, generalist in-house finance role at an early-stage, global stablecoin fintech - meaning you will touch a wide range of finance & accounting matters from day one.
As our Finance & Accounting Associate, you’ll be part of Cyclops’s high-performing team. In this role, you’ll handle the day-to-day accounting for our US entity and our EU entity, while gaining deep exposure to digital asset finance, automation, and scaling processes in a hyper-growth environment. You’ll take ownership of core accounting operations and contribute to projects that enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and innovation of Cyclops’ financial ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage financials and daily accounting operations across multiple Cyclops entities in Austria and US
- Ongoing accounting in accordance with the Austrian Commercial Code (UGB) and FASB U.S. GAAP
- Preparation and verification of incoming and outgoing invoices
- Settlement of intercompany accounts and transfer pricing
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions for the EU entity and the US entities, including accounts receivable/payable, cash management, fixed assets, intercompany accounting, and more
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, yearly, and consolidated financial statements for EU and US
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on finance-related projects that drive automation, transparency, and scalability in our accounting processes
- Support the audit process for the financial statements
- Helping to design digital financial processes, including the integration of AI tools
- Responsibility for and participation in budget and forecast processes
- Advise, accompany and support the operational areas of Cyclops and other team members
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of Finance and/or Accounting experience, ideally within a fintech, crypto, or fast-paced tech environment
- Solid understanding of Austrian GAAP (UGB); knowledge and experience with US GAAP and IFRS is a strong plus
- Experience with invoice processing, expense management, bank postings and general ledger entries
- Tech-driven mindset with curiosity for crypto, blockchain, and digital finance innovation
- A self-starter mindset: able to manage multiple assignments, prioritize independently, and communicate clearly about workload and timelines
- Comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment where processes are still being built and adaptability is essential

This role will report to the Managing Director of Cyclops EEC Services GmbH (based in Vienna), with a strong dotted line to our Co-Founder & Co-CEO, Alex Wilson (US-based).
For this position, the salary range lies between €45,000-€50,000 gross per year. Our final offer will be based on your experience, skills, and the value you'll bring to the team.

Location
Vienna, Austria. On-site presence in Vienna, or within Austria or close proximity, is preferred. Hybrid arrangements can be considered for the right candidate, but some availability for onsite presence in Vienna is a must.
